When I first joined Activision, this was one of the first projects I worked on with Sergei, my senior designer. He had already done some logo explorations prior to me joining the team.

The M icon is based off of UI elements found within early builds of Call of Duty: Mobile. We explored different shaped to contain the M, as well different fonts to pair with the M icon.

The final "MOBILE" font is a modified version of Bio Sans, a common Call of Duty brand font. We modified Bio Sans to have a stencil treatment, to feel more in-line with the military themed brand.
